HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh says prices in some parts of Pune have softened, many builders are giving freebies, offering to pay EMIs of up to 6 months

Yes, prices have come down in some pockets, but you can’t say that prices have come down across the nation. It’s best to say that sales have slowed down across the nation. Markets have softened. This is the prelude to prices coming down. The question is: who will blink first - — buyers or builders?

In an exclusive interview with DNA’s Salil Deshpande, HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh says it’s now a waiting game as builders try to hold on to prices despite a slowdown in sales.
